Position Purpose:
The Marketing Manager – Commercial Channel serves as the executional owner of USI's commercial marketing strategy. This role is responsible for building awareness, generating qualified pipeline, and positioning USI as a thought leader across key industry verticals including energy, utilities, infrastructure, public safety, transportation, logistics, and enterprise UAS operations.
The role oversees campaign execution, digital marketing, content strategy, events, partner marketing, and marketing operations that support the Commercial sales organization and accelerate revenue growth.
Success is measured by the ability to generate qualified opportunities, improve brand visibility, and execute scalable B2B marketing programs that support USI's commercial growth strategy.

They are highly organized, analytically driven, comfortable working across multiple channels, and capable of building repeatable demand generation systems that directly support revenue growth.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Commercial Demand Generation
- Own multi-channel marketing campaigns that generate qualified pipeline for the Commercial sales team.
- Execute account-based marketing (ABM) and targeted outreach campaigns aligned to priority verticals.
- Support product launches, commercial certifications, and new solution introductions.
- Develop and optimize lead generation programs across paid, organic, email, webinars, and partner channels.
Thought Leadership & Brand Positioning
- Build and manage a commercial content strategy that positions USI as an industry authority.
- Coordinate development of multi-media assets, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, podcasts, videos, and executive thought leadership content.
- Support public relations, media opportunities, and speaking engagements.
Marketing Operations & Analytics
- Manage HubSpot campaign execution, reporting, segmentation, and automation.
- Build dashboards measuring MQLs, SQL conversion, pipeline contribution, campaign ROI, and attribution.
- Provide actionable reporting and optimization recommendations to leadership.
Events & Industry Engagement
- Attend trade shows, conferences, summits, and customer events.
- Plan and execute webinars and industry sponsorships.
- Coordinate event logistics, promotional campaigns, and post-event follow-up.
- Partner with Commercial Sales to maximize opportunity creation from event participation.
Vendor & Agency Management
- Manage relationships with marketing agencies, designers, developers, freelancers, and external partners.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Administrative & Internal Support:
- Support commercial sales enablement by developing marketing collateral and resources for commercial sales team.
- Participate in quarterly planning and support product marketing efforts with messaging alignment.

Primary KPIs
- Marketing sourced and influenced pipeline.
- Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
- Cost per lead and campaign ROI.
- Event and webinar sourced opportunities.
- Thought leadership content production and engagement.
Secondary KPIs
- Website traffic and SEO growth.
- Brand awareness and share-of-voice indicators.
- HubSpot and marketing operations excellence.
- Sales team satisfaction with marketing support.
- Timely execution of strategic marketing initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years experience in acquisition marketing or marketing operations.
- Hands-on experience with CRM & marketing automation platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with Podcast and Content Platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and others.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe, or other design tools a plus.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude who loves to contribute, grow, and make an impact!
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Job responsibilities require remote work.
- Work environment will make heavy use of technology & software designed to increase productivity of marketing, sales and operational support.
- Must be able to hear well and speak clearly to allow efficient phone and virtual communications.
- Must be able to travel upon reasonable notice to numerous domestic locations.
