USI Announces Appointment of Alex Mirot as New Vice President of Product, Reinforcing Commitment To Excellence And Growth Within UAS Industry

Port St. Joe, FL (August 30, 2023) – USI announced today that in tandem with the continuous expansion of its product line, the newly established role of Vice President of Product has been filled by USI Co-Founder, Alex Mirot. Mirot's historical contributions to the development of USI's pioneering Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) curriculum have garnered industry-wide recognition, resulting in over 20,000 certifications being issued to date.

This newly created role at USI was designed to align with its commitment to excellence and advancement within the UAS industry. As the commercial UAS landscape experiences remarkable growth across diverse sectors, USI is dedicated to empowering academia and commercial businesses with its workforce organizational standards that empower scalable, standardized operations and provide the certified, skilled workforce needed to proactively support this dynamic field.

Mirot, a former U.S. Air Force pilot with qualifications in the C-130 Hercules, MQ-1 Predator, and MQ-9 Reaper, has dedicated the past decade to his role as a professor of aeronautical science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Daytona Beach, FL.

In his role as Vice President of Product at USI, Mirot will spearhead the creation of cutting-edge offerings that keep USI at the vanguard of the drone industry. Collaborating closely with USI's customer support teams, Mirot will ensure seamless implementation, partner success, and program expansion.
