The Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) has partnered with organizations across the United States to offer accelerated unmanned aviation training. Open to beginners and serious hobbyists seeking a career change, with priority seating given to transitioning military members, veterans, and their family members.
 
Drones, also known as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), are now utilized across various industries, including agriculture, transportation, energy, waste management, healthcare, insurance, mining, public safety, arts and entertainment, and more. They are essential for surveying, inspection, delivery, spraying, tracking, filming, and photography. The potential commercial applications for remote systems are almost limitless.

UAS Bootcamp Program Details

USI instructors teach the UAS Bootcamp live online, with in-person flight training upon successful completion of pre-requisites. This allows participants to complete most of the coursework from home. The in-person flight training takes place on-site.

1. Remote Pilot Certificate (From the FAA)

2. VLOS System Operation Ground Certification (From USI)

3. VLOS System Operation Flight Certification (From USI - on site)

4. Safety Level 1 Certification (From USI)

5. Advanced Safety Level 1 Certification (From USI)

6. Advanced Safety Level 2 Certification (From USI)

7. Advanced Unmanned System Ground Certification (From USI)

8. Advanced Unmanned System Flight Certificating (From USI)

Eligibility

Seating is limited. Priority is given to exiting military members, veterans, and their family members.

These programs may be available at no cost to you depending on the location you select. Financial aid and scholarships may be provided upon successful completion of the 2025-26 Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a requirement to qualify for financial aid, scholarships, and funding.
