Fast Track Drone Program Details

 12-Week Programs

Program Overview

The Fast Track Drone Training Program in Ohio includes in-depth instruction on UAS safety, regulatory certifications, human factors, safety management systems and provides hands-on flight experience to prepare participants for a career in UAS. They also offer industry-recognized certifications for reskilling and upskilling. This program integrates multiple industry certifications into a streamlined, accelerated curriculum that can be completed in as few as 12 weeks. 

Funding is available to reimburse the costs of these programs from Ohio TechCred.

Certifications Available:

Primary Remote Operator Program (12 weeks):

1 - Remote Pilot Certificate (FAA Part 107*)
2 - VLOS System Operation (VSO) Ground Certification (USI Safety Level 3)
3 - VLOS System Operation (VSO) Flight Certification (USI Safety Level 4*)

Primary Maintenance Technician Program (12 weeks):

1 - Small UAS Safety Certification Course (USI Safety Level 1*)
2 - Small UAS Maintenance Technician Certification (USI Safety Level 2*)

Advanced Operator Program (8 weeks)
Primary Remote Operator Program certifications above are prerequisites for Advanced Certifications.

1 - Advanced Safety Level 1 Certification (From USI)
2 - Advanced Safety Level 2 Certification (From USI)
3 - Advanced Unmanned System Ground Certification (AUSO Ground*)
4 - Advanced Unmanned System Flight Certification (AUSO Flight*)

Certification is valid for 24 months; recertification is accomplished by completing recurrent training.
