Full Program Details
USI instructors teach the UAS Bootcamp in a hybrid format, including full and part-time online learning options. This allows participants to complete most of the coursework from home. The program includes in-person flight training, which takes place on-site at Haney Tech.
Certifications Earned:
- Remote Pilot Certificate (from the FAA)
- VLOS System Operation Ground Certification (from USI)
- VLOS System Operation Flight Certification (from USI)
- Safety Level 1 Certification (from USI)
- Advanced Unmanned System Operations Ground Certification (from USI)
- Advanced Unmanned System Operations Flight Certification (from USI)
- Advanced Safety Level 1 Certification (from USI)
- Advanced Safety Level 2 Certification (from USI)
Two Options Available
- Duration: 16 weeks of intensive, full-time study.
- Structure: Combination of online and instructor led activities, including two weeks onsite at Haney Tech.

Duration: Flexible schedule, online learning to be completed within 9 months.

Structure: Online modules can be completed at the participant's pace, followed by in-person UAS flight experience.

Part-time students are expected to complete one module per week. Each module includes self-paced materials, a progress check, and a synchronous lesson with a USI Virtual Instructor. At the end of each block of instruction, students must pass a proctored exam before advancing to the next block.
Eligibility and Cost
• Total Cost: $12,425 per student
Includes all certification exams, virtual instruction, course materials, and two weeks of flight training at Haney Tech.
FULL FUNDING IS AVAILABLE
Thanks to funding provided by Haney Tech, and USI, this program may be available at no cost to you. You are required to complete a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) to qualify for scholarships and funding. Please note that students are responsible for all travel costs.
