UAS Bootcamp Program Details

 8-Week and 16-Week Programs

Program Overview

The UAS Bootcamp Program in Ohio includes in-depth instruction on UAS safety, regulatory certifications, human factors, safety management systems and provides hands-on flight experience to prepare participants for a career in UAS and offer industry-recognized certifications for reskilling and upskilling. This program integrates multiple industry certifications into a streamlined, accelerated curriculum that can be completed in as few as eight to 16 weeks. 

Funding is available to reimburse the full costs of this program from Ohio TechCred.

Certifications Available:

1 - Remote Pilot Certificate (From the FAA)
2 - VLOS System Operation Ground Certification (From USI)
3 - VLOS System Operation Flight Certification (From USI)
4 - Safety Level 1 Certification (From USI)
5 - Advanced Safety Level 1 Certification (From USI)
6 - Advanced Safety Level 2 Certification (From USI)
7 - Advanced Unmanned System Ground Certification (From USI)
8 - Advanced Unmanned System Flight Certification (From USI)

Bootcamp Duration / Schedule

• • Duration: 16 weeks of intensive, full-time study
  • Structure: Combination of online and instructor-led activities, including multiple on-site training sessions.

Certification is valid for 24 months; recertification is accomplished by completing recurrent training. 

NOTE: Curriculum is available through USI to prepare for the exam but is not required to sit for the proctored certification exam. Recertification is assessed by a third-party, independent provider.
