Unmanned Safety Institute is seeking experienced and motivated Virtual Instructor to support the evening and weekend delivery of USI’s knowledge-based training programs. This role is responsible for facilitating virtual instruction, supporting student success, and ensuring high-quality delivery of USI’s curriculum in an online learning environment.
This is a fully remote position and does not require relocation or onsite presence.

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
An FAA Remote Pilot Certificate is required.
Ability to earn and maintain USI knowledge-based certifications.
Experience teaching, instructing, or facilitating virtual learning environments
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Comfortable managing and engaging virtual cohorts
Ability to work evenings and one weekend day consistently
Desire for excellence in all aspects of work
Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable internet connection and professional virtual teaching setup
FAA Private Pilot
FAA Airframe & Powerplant
Prior experience in aviation, unmanned systems, safety, or technical teaching
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS)
Experience supporting adult learners or workforce development programs
Instruction and student support are delivered entirely through online platforms and USI's learning management system (LMS).
Contractors must maintain a professional virtual teaching environment, including:
A quiet, distraction-free workspace
Video-capable computer and peripherals suitable for live instruction
Webcam and microphone that support clear audio and video communication
A reliable, high-speed internet connection is required to support live virtual instruction, student engagement, and LMS access
Instructors are expected to maintain a professional on-camera presence and adhere to USI standards for virtual classroom delivery
